Join us on our 8th annual Santa Charity Cycle
We know Covid-19 has stopped a number of events this year, but we're not letting it stop us as we get ready for our 8th annual Santa Cycle... This year however, we will be doing it virtually so you can join us from anywhere.
While we are unable to physically give gifts this year, we are planning to virtually cycle to go fetch donations from Santa in Lapland and bring them back to London to help save Christmas.
For the last 7 years we have cycled our 20 km route from Richmond, SW London to Shooting Star Children's Hospice in Hampton, to deliver gifts to the incredible children who are suffering with life limiting illnesses.
This year they need us even more! Covid-19 has had a massive impact on the charity, forcing them to close the hospice in Hampton, leaving a number of families without the much needed and amazing support they provide. We hope to raise as much money as possible to support them.
12th and 13th December 2020
Any time that weekend before 6PM on Sunday
Outdoors anywhere in the world OR indoors on Zwift
Sign up for free below, and commit to cycling a certain distance on the 12/13th December to help us hit our epic goal of collectively cycling to Lapland and back.
As we are unable to deliver gifts this year, we ask each rider to donate as much as they are able to in lieu of a present. Fundraising can be as easy as sending an email and sharing our fundraising page on social media.
Join our private Facebook Group, our communication hub for this charity ride. Here we will be updating you with all the details about the event, tracking fundraising activity and updating you live on the 12th and 13th of December. We will keep you regularly updated on how we are doing in terms of hitting our 6138 km target and £5,000 fundraising goal.
There are prizes for most festive Santa or bike, so start planning your costume and decorations now.

Shooting Star Children’s Hospices is a lifeline to so many families and this has never been more apparent than during the current pandemic. COVID-19 has had a devastating effect on the delivery of their vital services and a huge impact on their fundraising income.
Their vital hospice service for those most vulnerable in the community is needed more than ever. Quite simply, without them, the families they support would have nowhere left to turn. The charity have had to adapt and find new and different ways to deliver care, remain connected with families and give them support when it’s most needed.
With only 10% of their funding from the government, Shooting Star Children’s Hospices relies on supporters’ generosity to continue to provide care and support, which is needed now more than ever.
